Camp Cherokee: Where it all Began
Camp Cherokee: Where it all Began
Our Story
We've been hooked on the lake for as long as we can remember. From the family church retreat campground with First Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tennessee, to cramped fishing on a tiny pedal boat on Clark Lake in North Georgia, all those golf course fishing ditches in Florida, to fishing competitively with the FLW, to life here on the lake in the heart of North Georgia. Our happy place is with our feet hanging off the dock in the water and a line in our hands. Lake time is family time. Cherishing those memories and sharing them with artful mementos from Lake Lodge Media is what we're all about.
We miss ya, dad.
That Canoe
There was this time at Camp Cherokee where one of us kids dropped their pole over the side of the canoe into shallow waters. Dad was in another canoe and paddled over to help save the day. He reached down into the water for the pole and what happened next is family folklore and ripe with blame. He and all of his fishing gear went right into the lake! I can still see him falling in slow motion; the best of times. We still laugh about it, and I'm pretty sure it was my pole...
Not the HMS Goose Egg. That's another boat...
The Annual Ditch Fish-off
There's a yearly tradition near Tampa where everyone throws a line in at the backyard pond and hopes for bragging rights that year. We all know who the reigning champ is...
Cannonbaaaaaaaall!
Who can make the biggest splash?! Yep, it was always dad.
So Retro
Look how cool life looks from a roll of 35mm film back in the early 80's. Classic.
This.
Best lake memory right here, folks. That and frog hunting at night with the cousins.
